What is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a way of balancing health
by painlessly testing muscle strength. It was discovered and developed
by American chiropractor, Doctor George Goodheart.
Our muscles are related to other parts
of our bodies, including the organs, glands, bones and circulation.
Our muscles are storage areas for all our life experiences; think
about how tensely we hold our muscles in times of stress or anxiety,
often without realising it.
How a muscle responds to gentle pressure
tells us how the rest of the body is functioning.
Kinesiology is best known for treating
people who have sensitivities to certain foods or other substances.
It identifies those foods and airborne irritants that put the
body under stress. If you avoid them for a while, your health
and energy levels should improve significantly and many of the
foods identified can then be reintroduced after a follow up appointment.
Kinesiology is gentle and non-intrusive
and is suitable for all ages. It is particularly valuable for
children where additives and foods could be having a detrimental
effect on their health and behaviour.

Why not book an initial consultation
to see if this therapy will be beneficial for you.
What happens during a consultation?
You will lie fully clothed on a treatment
couch and the practitioner will gently measure the muscle response
of your outstretched arm.
A small test vial containing food or
other substance can be placed on the body, or the practitioner
will rest her hand on suspected problem areas of the body.
It will be useful to bring with you
a list of your most commonly eaten foods and any cleansing creams
etc you use on a regular basis.
Your first appointment of two hours
will involve taking a full medical and lifestyle history, muscle
testing various substances and advice on diet and supplements
if necessary.
Your follow up appointment after 4/6
weeks will be re-testing and further diet advice.
What will a consultation cost?
