What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis happens naturally
anytime we become deeply relaxed or highly focused. It happens
when we daydream, do things on autopilot, become engrossed in
a good book or film and when we drift off to sleep at night. At
these moments we are oblivious to distractions around us.
In hypnosis, our body
is deeply relaxed, but our minds are sharpened so that we have
direct access to our subconscious mind. Beneficial suggestions
can be made, prompting positive change in our lives. We are able
to gain insights and a new perspective on problems that are affecting
our lives. We are also able to access our inner resources to help
resolve issues.
Hypnosis is a highly
effective and safe therapy, its history spans thousands of years
benefiting people all over the world. Anyone who wants to be hypnotised,
can be. A hypnotherapist cannot force you into hypnosis against
your will.
Will I lose control?
No!! This is a common
misconception. The hypnotherapist has no control over you, your
subconscious will not allow you to do anything against your will.
You are in full control and can come out of the hypnotic state
at any time you choose.
What does hypnosis feel
like?
People experience the
hypnotic state differently. However, the most common description
is pleasant, deep relaxation. This natural, altered state of awareness
allows you to get in touch with the inner powerful you, which
has the solution to your problems and will make you more inclined
to the things you want to do.
Generally, you will hear
and remember most of what is said during a session. Some people
may be so relaxed that although they hear, they don't remember
what is said. However, your subconscious mind remembers everything!
You will receive a free recording of some sessions for your use
